Maggie and Helly

two happenstance dorks. Maggie Drake and Helly Firestorm both work at the Champions Academy, which is a private university whose primary goal is to allow for super-powered individuals to find an education and help control and deal with their abilities in a civilian format. Since it was private school founded during the production-centric 50s, it's very much a job-centric affair as opposed to a arts/studies academic house (see also, pragmatic job placement oriented above all else).
... they were also previously members of the Champions Reserve, which is pretty much what the name would indicate: an option for people to be "on call" to help during emergencies without having to deal with fighting crime on a regular basis.

Also worth noting - they're the "bad girls" of the staff, both in their Reserve days and academic careers.
