cinemas locally were doing those AMC movie screenings, so me and some friends went and watched the Shining. (we'd all seen 90% of it at one point or another, but never the whole thing front to back).

Some scenes are still insanely haunting and creepy.
... and then there's stuff like the guy in the pig mask that just irreversibly destroy the mood.

But yeah, I think Lloyd (the bartender) is easily the single most unnerving and creepy facets of the entire movie. Joe Turkel's performance basically gave him an uncanny valley equivalent of human emotion, perfect for setting up Jack's mental breakdown. ... had to try my hand at drawing him.
